  1. My name is Tammy Boulyaphonh i has bought one item crystal abstract sculpture tracking number 130828845825 should be delivery January 9,2013 but until right now we not see nothing I dont know what happen where is going? please help me find out thanks

  2. Your web site sucks what are you thinking its a pain in the ass you should fix . I would never recommend this service to anybody

  3. BEWARE of using uShip.com to relocate your home! The service provider that won my bid was unprofessional & unreputable. They refused to work out minor changes to delivery location. I had no idea that using uship.com could be so risky. Delivery destination changed-not planned. The original location was 40 miles drive distance. New location was 29 miles closer going in the same direction. Agreed to pay xtra for 2nd stop to storage delivery also. No Discussion granted. The day before the scheduled move, the driver emailed me stating that he was refusing to show up but at the same time decided to keep my deposit. What’s even more, I purchased mover insurance from uShip.com. and uShip.com has decided to keep the money that I paid for moving insurance, even though the mover that I got from their Website did not show up to do the job. After making multiple phone attempts to reach them, I received a call back from uShip.com the day after the scheduled move stating that the service provider had 24hrs to contact uShip or else the service provider would be terminated off of the sight. It’s been nearly a month now since this has happened and the service provider is still listed on the sight. And uShip.com has not resolved this issue at all. They also kept the money that I paid for shipping insurance. There has been no refund granted or given. uShip.com customer service has not since returned any of my phone calls. And now, when I call uShip.com, I only get their answering machine. This entire experience has been undesireable. Use this service at your own ristk. My advise to you is to STAY FAR AWAY! I would NOT wish what happened to our family on no one.

    • Within an hour after posting the above comments about my embarrasing experience with uShip.com, I received a call from uShip.com customer servcie agreeing to refund both my original deposit and the money that I spent for purchasing moving insurance through their organization. The customer service representative appeared empathetic and confirmed that the shipper’s account has been frozen to ensure that no other customers would have to go through what I went through. I received the monies that were owed to me in my paypal account on the very next business day. No, I am not happy about my initial shipping experience, however, I am very greatful to get my money back from uShip.com.

  4. It is a shame that I have been waiting on shippers rhat say one thing and not doing nothing.Won’t even return phone calls…Also shippers telling shippers what they think I will pay……B s its easy to find your phone number when you want to place my add is it

  5. I booked my move with a verified service provider. Uship asked me to prepay. Did so. The service provider came to my house, picked everything up and left. After a couple days, Uship sent me an email stating that the service provider account was disabled because had been busting other customers… now Uship is not answering my emails or phone calls to have my money refunded. So finally all my stuff was sotlen plus the money paid to Uship (i never authorized to release to service P… Uship has it and kept it). Can you believe that?

  6. i was searching the net & found u ship has 58 complaints filed against them with the bbb i looked at them & it backs up what i say about them, this is not a big bussiness it is a few individuals putting on a front, very unproffesiaonal. they finally suspended me from transporting through them. romans 8-28 says all things are done for the good of those that love him according to his purpose. i am so glad i have a big god. i am not a religous freak but am a believer in him & his power, he protects me against peaple like this. i don,t know what was on the horion but he does. i write this not out of vengance but out of responsibility to do waht i can to protect others. i am retired and only get loads when i buy something myself somewhere and wnat to get fuel money to get there. i am retired trucking co ownere. my son took it over. i do have all athority & insurance so i contacted central dispatch, they are responasible, it took me a while to get signed up with them because they do chaeck everything. insurance dot, mc & if it don,t match you don,t use them. you get 30 days freee & then it is $79 per month. no upfront charges for transporting uship makes the customer pay them up frony 7 when you deliver they give you the code to get paid. basically handling your money for about 3 weeks. now if shipper messes your stuff up i don,t know what they do. i will give you a scenario. i ship my new harley ultra witht hem. 30k investment. the shipper doesn,t show up. i already paid uship for shipment so i figure ok they will handle it. they call mem back & tell me they can,t get ahold of the shipper & we will contact you back. then finally they call & say we will refund you. it looks asthough the shipper has defected to maexico. he has stole a whole load of harley,s and they found him in tamaulipas but mexican authorityies won,t deport him. go figure

  7. I was recently shipping my dog across the country. The man and his wife seemed nice. However they only got my dog to San Antonio Texas. At that time the father called to say all his kids loved my dog and they wanted to keep it. I said no. Then after keeping the dog for two weeks, they threatened to not finish delivery my dog unless I wrote a #1 review for their shipping line. So of course I did, just to protect my dog. Well the dog is delivered to Las Vegas now. BEWARE of the extortion that can take place through the site.

  8. booked a shipment, paid the bill, and that’s the last I’ve heard of them. Calling my C.C. company to halt payment. Hopefully.
    Lousy experience !!!!

  9. Great compan. I booked a shipment and ended up wanting to cancel. They refunded all my money no question asked. Would recommend using them! Great customer service never was transferred or even put on hold!

  10. I am writing to express my continuing dissatisfaction with your company’s service on my shipment from Orlando Fl. to Bernardsville, NJ. It took three times to book a shipment at your web site. The first two times the truckers cancelled after agreeing to the contract. Third time John Hill from Tampa agreed to ship a motorcycle, a 32” LCD TV, and 10 boxes to NJ. John Hill’s profile stated that he had insurance and was covered for $10,000.00. I purchased the additional insurance that your web site offers in case a problem would arise. I thought I was covered.
The trucker stated he dropped the bike and broke the windshield and kickstand. Mr. John Hill proactively called me and told me about the mishap and offered $200.00 compensation. I told him I would have to see the bike and verify that the aforementioned items were all that was damaged. Upon delivery there was significantly more damage. I had the driver sign the bill of lading for the damage done over and above the kickstand and windshield. There was previous damage on the bike before shipping and I told John Hill these would not be included in the charge back.
We took pictures of the bike before and after the shipment which shows the damages. We had an estimate done and the cost of repair was in excess of $2000.00. The insurance you sell on the web site is useless. They denied the claim because I have motorcycle insurance. Deep in the contract it does state that they will only pay over what the motorcycle insurance covers. Why would anyone buy worthless additional insurance if first I have to file a claim with my insurance and have my rates go up when I did nothing wrong. Mr. John Hill’s profile stated he had insurance, which he did not.
I know you are a third party regarding disputes and Chole S. has been excellent in trying to negotiate a settlement. The shipper is a deadbeat and should not be allowed to do this again. This couldn’t be the vision you had when you started uShip. All shippers who contract with uShip should me mandated to have insurance. I will be pursuing legal action. I will be adding uShip as a defendant because uShip allowed a material misrepresentation on their web site. That material misrepresentation led to a contract with a non-insured shipper.

  11. A felon sex offender came to my house via this website. I had no idea either. He took my shipment and then they canceled his account in transit because he was a felon sex offender…..I never got my stuff back. Still filing police reports. Meanwhile, their fraud department says its my fault I didn’t do a background check on these guys and i’m out of luck. F these guys

Convicted Sex Offenders Word for uShip

Company

USHIP

Monetary Loss
$500

Not only was the driver a bully -- attempting to extort all the money for the shipment before it was delivered because there were mechanical problems beyond his grasp to fix and he lied and did not have roadside assistance insurance coverage -- planned to leave the shipment out in the middle of nowhere unless he was paid in full ahead of time! This guy was a piece of work; knew little about RVs and the icing on the cake was the fact that he's a registered sex offender.

uShip was told and claimed they would follow through in their fraud department but apparently, a man who committed sexual assault on a minor and claims he owes money to shall we say unscrupulous individuals is technically not fraud.

When the time came to pay, this shipper suddenly said he could not wait a couple of days for a bank transfer (which is standard when money is sent to someone online) and he demanded to be paid in cash immediately. There were mechanical issues which, had this shipper had the proper insurance, would not have cost me anything to remedy. 1810207

I'm the a$$ that thought of this after hearing from many customers who want a safer, easier and more convenient payment option on uShip. The payment is from the customer - we're only providing the mechanism of payment. Just fair warning, canceling because of the customers selected payment option is grounds for suspension and we're very serious about it. As other can attest, we believe you will find this to be a value added feature for service providers. Regards, Matt

i wold say NOT the A$$ but the thief YES
he make 3% of getting paid like this and 17% of what ever you pay as BOOKING FEE Yes 20% for doing Nothing

This option to pay entirely on line is so one sided-favoring the shipper that it is ridiculous! I agree with every other TPS provider that is on here. I had my first and last shipment paid through Uship. It is convenient for shipper but extremely inconvenient for transporter to say the least. I will not accept another bid that wants to use this service.

wow, 2 more surprising events, first it states that Matt's response was 3 days ago, but it just appeared in my mailbox two hours ago, more censorship?? 2ndly, Matt, you are supposed to be a professional, your response above shows you are anything but being professional. You are are acting as childish with your replys as some of the TSP's, (that you are taking advantage of with your uShip payments or whatever you are calling them this week)replys. I have been following these posts in hope of seeing a reversal of this forced payment method, but I can see that you are obviously blind to the majority of the tsp's wishes. I can no longer in good conscience continue to use your website. It use to be a wonderful tool for tsp's and I am sure it has been wonderful for you, but your continued ignorance in the actual business of shipping and customer service is too much of a risk for my business. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS #1. You and your staff continue to show that the TSPs, who carry your company, are at the bottom of your totem pole. Good luck with your endeavors and hopefully you will soon see the error of your ways.

USHIP is now operating as an illegal unregulated Freight Brokerage. USHIP is operating without the proper documentation as required of every freight broker in the country. ICC Authority, Insurance documentation, company organization documents, credit references, bank information, agents for process and a written and filed contract with every legal carrier that does business with them. USHIP changed from a freight matchmaker to a facilitator once they stepped in between the carrier and the shipper from start to finish. Now, carriers have no recourse if someone decides not to pay. Without agents of process in a particular state, who are you going to serve papers to? These payment entities are subsidiaries of USHIP, therefore USHIP controls the money and the entire transaction. They need ICC Authority to do this. They also changed the service agreement without contacting their providers. If the ICC doesn't crawl all over this then what's the use in anyone having authority to operate? A complaint will be filed by me ASAP. I booked a shipment through USHIP from Alaska to Washington and did not know of this change. As fare as I am concerned the load can sit in Alaska until Spring. I will not transport it until the legalities are defined.

This poat does not even scratch the surface compared to all the deleted forum posts. Anytime a user comments with reference to legallity or dissention the staff will simply remove the post.

If you continue to debate or present fair and legal arguments they will suspend you. All members will have clear "retaliation claim cases" for the actions where uShip or any other business or employer reacts in such a way that is retalitory with no just cause.

uShip may be breaking a few laws as below shown;

DESIST AND REFRAIN ORDER

(For violations of Financial Code sections 17200 & 17403)

The California Corporations Commissioner finds that:

1. Websoft, Inc. d/b/a Guru.com (Guru.com); d/b/a SafePay Escrow Services (SafePay Escrow) and Inderpal S. Guglani (Guglani) have engaged in the business of an escrow agent by advertising escrow services over the Internet at http://www.guru.com/ as follows:

a) Guru.com represents on its website that it is a privately-owned business, founded in 1997 by Guglani and presently located at 5001 Baum Blvd., Suite 760, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.

b) Beginning in at least April 2009 and continuing thereafter, Guru.com engaged in business as an Internet escrow agent by handling escrow transactions for sellers and buyers of freelance professional services through a process it calls SafePay Escrow Services

c) Through its website, Guru.com instructs the buyer of freelance services to establish an “Escrow Account” along with the seller (referred to as a “pro”) as follows: “After approving the Project Agreement, ask the pro to create an Escrow Request in the agreed-upon amount. Guru.com will send you an email prompting you to pay the amount to Guru.com, before the pro begins work. Guru.com holds this money in a secure, neutral Escrow Account. No money will be released to the pro until you confirm that the work has been completed to your satisfaction.”

USHIP CARRIER screwed shipper

USHIP Complaint

A USHIP.COM carrier distroyed my camper and has no insurance and will not answer his phone. USHIP also is of NO HELP and in PLAIN ENGLISH told me I AM *** OUT OF LUCK. They dont check if any of there carriers are legal even though they say you have to be legal according to there USER AGREEMENT. USHIP and there CARRIERS are nothing more than SCAMMERS?. This carrier hooked to my 36' travel trailer with no stabilizer/sway bars with a regular pick up and proceeded down the interstate.. He lost control of the trailer and totaled it|. He had AAA tow it to a nearby storage yard where it sits|. He has provided NO insurance information and will not return any phone calls at this time|. I checked his DOT number and he does NOT have authority to perform INTERSTATE transport, nor does he have any licensing or insurance informatio

USHIP Complaint by Boatguy123

There are so many of us. Hard working people that have had their money taken wrongly by USHIP drivers. USHIP seems to be supported by the BBB and E Bay?. Even though they have had hundreds of complaints.. THIS MUST STOP|.

There are hundreds of people that have been scammed by USHIP?. I am confused how the BBB can always manage to come up in favor of USHIP!. Over and over again". Same goes for E Bay.. What does that say????

Maybe we should start a movement against the BBB & E Bay for Supporting these ......... people.

My Story is the same as everyone else. Paid money No Show Went to Credit card and did Charge back against Driver but. Not so sure how the charge back is going to go against the USHIP ......... crooks. Any one done a charge back against them for the deposit?

Remember Every Body "We are a neutral 3rd Party" 42e701

this is funny just another way for uship to put there hands in your pocket

rbhajr replied to What fees are applied to TSPs who offer online payments through SafePay?, a question about uShip.com.

Why is it that all of uships responses are all the same, like a broken record. Never answering the question just running in circles. All i have seen is the 4 comments from the so called pilot transporters that say it is a great system, no other comments or responses that say they like safe pay, allways the same 4. I to have had shippers ask me how i wanted to get paid before a bid was accepted because they said all they could find was uship saying safe pay was the way to go. Uship who gets the fee, i do direct deposit with other shippers and companys i haul for and not one of them charges me a fee, not one. And one more question, why does a transporter with good feedback have to accept safe pay but a new one with out does not? Seems a litttle backwards to me. A transporter with good feedback and lots of bids, one that makes uship money has to bid higher and loose more bids than a new transporter because they wont have to pay an aditional 2.25% fee if safe pay is accepted by the shipper. Plus it would be nice to know up front how the shipper wanted to pay so we could bid accordingly.

Uship is Legal

USHIP Compliment

Article Index
I just want you to know that yes even though uship acts like a broker they are not! They have been Investigated by the USDOT and have been found NOT to be in any way Illegal.

Uship is not considered a Broker because they do not place the listings, they do not communicate between the shipper and the service provider. They provide the means but do not actually broker the loads.

Uship leaves it up to the shipper to check out the service provider to see if he/she is registered with the USDOT. That way they are not liable for who you hire. Brokers have to make sure you are legal. Uship uses a USHIP user agreement and when you agree to the terms, you are basically releasing them from any liability.

The USDOT has investigated USHIP and they have covered all their bases. So I suggest if you use USHIP, make sure you hire a USDOT registered carrier. Nobody is forcing anybody to use this site.

Hiring a Illegal carrier you have no way for compensation in the event of damage or theft.

Hiring a USDOT registered carrier you have all kinds of compensation and the ability to file charges against the carrier and to get compensated for your loss. The USDOT is very strict when it comes to this. they will pull the authority of the carrier and they will no longer be able to do business legally and if they do and get caught there are huge fines to pay.

The problem on Uship is shippers are looking for the Cheapest price to get something moved and when they hire a Provider who is not USDOT registered and get damaged freight and property stolen, their the ones who come back and write bad things about Uship and the ones they should be blaming is themselves for trying to save a buck and hiring just anybody.

Uship and EBAY are sites built the same way. they provide a means for selling and for shipping. Ebay is a Auction service but I dont hear anybody calling them a Auctioneer and wanting to see their Auctioneers liscence. Uship provides a means of getting items shipped, yet everyone calls them brokers, they are not brokers. Actually, the shippers are the brokers. they are the ones who post the listings, hire the carriers, provide the phone numbers, and pay the fee's.Do the shippers have brokers liscenses??? Good day! 0

If you register an account with uShip.com, then you choose to abide by the terms and conditions laid out in the User Agreement. Our policies and role in the shipment are clearly stated. We are a neutral venue and NOT a broker, freight forwarder, or transportation company. uShip does NOT endorse, employ, or select carriers for a customer's shipment. The shipping customer lists their shipment and selects the Service Provider that meets their needs. We ask that customers use our Safe Shipping Guide that offers tips on how to verify credentials and ask the right questions to Service Providers. By doing their due diligence, they can be more informed to make better decisions.

Regarding feedback and communication manipulation, our policies are also stated within the User Agreement. Content that violates those policies are subject to be removed. Reminders are also posted throughout areas you could write a response, letting you know what is unacceptable. A Service Provider should highlight the services they can offer and not target other bidders and what they may or may not have. Attempting to scare a customer by making claims, whether true or false, is not appropriate behavior. You are welcome to review our User Agreement, FAQs or contact Member Support with any questions.

Uship is guilty of conspiracy to commit fraud with aid and abet criminal activity on thier site.

To assist another in the commission of a crime by words or conduct

The person who aids and abets participates in the commission of a crime by performing some Overt Act or by giving advice or encouragement. He or she must share the criminal intent of the person who actually commits the crime, but it is not necessary for the aider and abettor to be physically present at the scene of the crime.

An aider and abettor is a party to a crime and may be criminally liable as a principal, an Accessory before the fact, or an accessory after the fact.

Uship is garbage. period. They might not have violated any USDOT/fmsca laws.......but they left one out..NOT by either of these. I have been over/under and through there rules/regulations..They missed one... hehehe

I do not work within uShip nor have I ever. However I was a member and I started this post..I left the compliment! however here in the past Uship has done a lot of things and I must say that UShip that claims to be a neutral venue is no longer neutral... When they remove legal advice and post in the forums requesting carriers to produce some credentials to show proof of compliancy UShip removes the post and flags the LEGAL carrier...they hide behind their user agreement. If you have a loss or something gets stolen they wont help you..they tell you to cantact law enforcement!

I advise all shippers to stay away from uship because the legal carriers are starting and have been leaving and the majority of the service providers left are Illegal.... they will all leave eventually.... USHIP needs to have a class action lawsuit brought against it...and one is being formed and information is being gathered and a case is being made against uship....Uship is doing this for us and they don't even know it!

Does anyone have the number to uship

9. Written by Uship is compliant on October 17, 2008

Unfortuneately, the poster is correct. Uship is not acting like a broker. The fact that they do not contract the transporter and they do not list the load is a great loophole. No amount of whinning will change that. Matt, Seth and the other guy that started Uship payed attention getting their MBAs at UT.

10. Written by blondbomb on September 13, 2008

Its funny how USHIP has to come here to try to do DAMAGE CONTROL, if you go to the uship web site you will NEVER SEE ANY POST's from shippers how there stuff was DAMAGED or STOLEN because USHIP DELETES THE POSTS ASAP. When asked why they wont tell you. They now will throw you off the site if you tell a shipper that the deposit that they pay after a bid is won DOESNT go to the CARRIER. IT GOES TO USHIP AND WITHIN THE LAST FEW WEEKS they now have ADDED a NEW FEE. Its called "A USHIP SERVICE FEE" Face it USHIP you are scammers getting rich off of people that dont understand the MOTOR CARRIER LAWS and if a carrier tries to help a shipper and tell them about these laws you throw them off your web site. ALSO WHY does it say when you ask someone a question that you will be FLAGGED and your account suspended for offering legal advise about motor carrier laws? Tell me USHIP you just want peoples money and dont care about anything else or you would help EDUCATE THE SHIPPER. How do you people sleep nights? The end is closer than you think, this group will have you upholding the FMCSA LAWS before to long, you will see.

tristar replied to What fees are applied to TSPs who offer online payments through SafePay?, a question about uShip.com.

I'm sorry but I disagree with uship forcing us to accept safepay because that is what customers want. All businesses decide what payment options they will accept from customers not the other way around. If a customer only wants to pay with safepay then they can choose a service provide that will accept safepay the same way they can choose one that will accept paypal or credit cards. As for now in the additional payment terms I will add that I do not accept safepay and if that is the only way you want to pay then don't accept my bid and if you accept and pay with safepay I will cancel the booking. I just had a customer book a bid and pay with safepay that I will probably cancel. He told me he only paid with safepay because he felt that he was steered that way and that cash at delivery was actually preferred by him. It is bad enough you force us to accept this payment method but to lead customers to think this is the best way to pay is not right. The fact that service providers with a proven history are the ones forced to accept this and not new ones or ones bad feedback is backwards.

OK so shippers like "SafePay" so much then have them pay the 2.25% fee if they want to prepay. Or why doesn't uShip build it into the shippers Auction Service Fee? it shouldn't be the TSPs that pay for this service and YES WE ARE being forced to take uShips pet payment option. they have even made it so confusing when customers check out that they think they have to use "SafePay". I have two right now that used it but don't want it. as a Gold Power Provider I have also started getting my bookings off uShip and will probably not be a Power Provider much longer.

Unfortunately with these new changes uShip is pricing themselves right out of the market not to mention they are showing their true colors pertaining to customer service. Obama has the same concept and we can see how well that has worked. Even before these changes were implemented, I have done better on pricing with local shippers than I have here?

Just talked to another customer that wanted to pay c.o.d. and only saw the safepay option, thats two out of two. Its clear that youve buried the other options in fine print just like you did with the info stating that pet transporters can have the code at pick up instead of delivery. You guys keep pissing poeple off you wont have a board anymore.

did ya notice how few bids are being placed, at least in pets and livestock. Having this service and not making it an option for TSP's is kinda like cutting off your nose to spite your face. You may have your safepay but, if no one is willing to bid. What good is it doing you? You do know there are other load boards, right ?

TROPICAL TRANSPORT,LLC  Negative: 14

Icing on the cake

Stay away from this Transport Company! The Driver Stole my Blue 2007 Vespa Et2 on OCT 10
in route to NYC! Left a message that he does not plan on returning the Vespa given that he
was fired from Tropical Transport. Must I say more? They provided no help, no insurance,
no Vespa. It's over a month! Nothing. Just excuses. They claim to have 50K in insurance- So
where is it? They don't answer the phone or provide any soultions to the problem- In short,
 this is terrible Transport company.

A big time Lier and crook! Their phone is dead! Never responds to Emails. Picked up item and delivered only 4 weeks later, once I reported to Uship. This thief was paid for shipping on Pick UP however they did charge a receiver one more time same fee. Very bad expirience. NEVER AGAIN
Uship is a scam "PERIOD"
USHIP Complaint

Too all shippers out there, Uship exquisite only because we support the site, My message is simple "Do not support this site" If we shippers don't support them, they have no business "period".

If a consumer is *** enough to ship a product with U-ship supported by cheap UN-insured, Un-professional carrier's with no recourse then that is there problem.

When there goods go missing or they have been waiting for 6-12 weeks to get the goods, or they can't get a hold of the shipper, or it gets damaged, "Tough" you get what you pay for, so stop *** and moaning, you took the risk and that's the end result.

UShip Scam -- Never got my puppy!!!
USHIP Complaint by BrittneyJ

UShip Scam -- Never got my puppy!!!

I found a dog online that I wanted to adopt from a private seller. She used U Ship to 'ship' the dog. They hit me for a $300 fee and then the next day said they couldn't ship because the dog needed $580 life insurance that would be refunded at the time of delivery.

So like ***, I paid it. So we payed them a total of $880, then they said they would be shipping. Then the next day they said I needed to pay them $725 for a dog crate because the one the owner dropped off wasn't good enough because of the climate!

So they called me because I refused to pay and the guy couldn't hardly speak English and then hung up on me! Then they sent me an e-mail an hour later saying that "since I was complaining and doubting their company they had no option to send my money back because they didn't want their reputation to be brought down over a few dollars!" I'm still waiting for my refund, because they wanted me to pay $175 for them to refund my money!!

It's one big scam!

Uship does everything short of giving scam shippers an award. They will not do anything to support customers who have been victimized by one of their listed "shippers". There is much evidence to suggest that Uship has even chosen to remain silent rather than warn existing customers after being informed about ongoing criminal fraud. LSA Logistics who defrauded many Uship customers was sheilded by Uship and victimized users were repeatedly stalled from being able to communicate with each other by a Uship manager. One principal of LSA Logistics has already been arrested in California. Uship didn't help at all until they were threatened with disclosure to the public of their behavior.

ALSO-TRUCKERS WITH NO LIC AND INS ARE ALL OVER THIS SITE AND NOBODY IS CHECKING THEM. THIS MAKES IT HARD TO COMPETE FOR THE REST OF US WHO PLAY BY THE RULES.

Numerous times they have been informed of the carriers that are acting illegally and
turn a blind eye even censoring attempts from legal carriers to inform the shippers of the laws
and authority required to transport in a "FOR HIRE" capacity in their forums and in the
load question and answer sections. Many times compliant carriers have been suspended from
their website for the same actions of trying to inform. Their continued use of illegal carriers
also creates a safety issue on the roadways. These unregulated drivers do not follow the laws the
rest of us must and their equipment is not inspected as the rest of the trucking industries are.
Also these illegal carriers almost always request cash payments from the shippers and do not report
income to the IRS.

The reason they can offer that is their use of transport service providers (TSP's)
who are unlicensed, uninsured and unregulated by the agencies that over see interstate
and intrastate commerce. Now there are some carriers on there that have complied with
all government regulations, but the majority of their carriers are not compliant and uninsured.
In fact anybody with a truck and trailer can sign up there and start bidding on loads.
Uship does not screen or pre-qualify carriers for compliancy. They utilize a reverse auction
format for the loads posted and this helps to drive the freight rates way below industry standards.

Yesterday 8/30/10 I used ALB Transportation Co. (NY)and was apprehensive as it was the first time and I used them and have had some very bad movers in the past. They did everything they said they would do.I give them 6 of 5 stars. The price was good, they arrived on the exact minute that they estimated and they were friendly. They kept in contact after the bid was accepted by me. I contracted during late afternoon and by 9:45 the piece of furniture had arrived at my home. The owner Tony was great and so were his drivers. I felt they cared about the shipment and wanted me to be satisfied. They checked the item before accepting and wrote down any problems. They were on my side. Amazing service. In fact, the best mover I have ever used! They tried very hard to please.I was extremely satisfied and would use them again. Jan F.# 3099

NO DOT AND MC

Uship is alright in my book. They gave me, a common man trying to get started a good chance to do some work. I'm not a scammer I do carry minimum Ins. just enough to cover freight. So my rates will be cheaper than most. That doesn't make me a bad shipper. and that has nothing to do with Uship.

Uship does not screen the service providers carefully enough to limit scams. Uship providers should not be allowed access system and customers if they do not produce relevant and valid state and federal licences, permits and Insurance. This should be mandatory and verified by Uship.

I am not really sure I am comfortable with this whole idea. I am all for the customer getting competitive rates, but this seems very unfair to many of the trucking companies out there trying to make a living. Quite often they have no choice but to accept a LOW rate to be able to compete with folks working in the industry unlicensed and uninsured. It seems that www.uship.com should require some proof from brokers/carriers of operating authority, insurance, lic, etc.
I am a broker and I have bid on freight and it seems like a waste of time....the shippers have no idea what they are sending, they do not respond in a timely fashion and seem to cancel last minute. I think this whole concept undermines the entire freight industry and do not think I want to be apart of it any longer. I have stopped bidding using uship

It will happen, uship will be shut down and scammers like Jim Helms and Tyler Sheff will be in jail.

This post is to inform not only the trucking industry but also the general public
and various law enforcement agencies of the existence of unregulated
individuals, brokers and companies operating in interstate and intrastate commerce.
There are many small hotshots, owner operators and so called trucking companies that
traverse the nations highways without the proper insurance, and who also fail to follow
mandated regulations set forth by FMCSA.
These companies we believe also contribute to the unreasonably low freight rates which
all have been experiencing.

Google "UShip Scams" for just a taste of what UShip is really all about. UShip continues to perfect the art of deception in the customer(Shipper) false sense of security arena.

You can search the BBB out of Austin, TX for UShip's contact information as well.

Problem? They are a NEUTRAL venue and ONLY take your deposits upon bid acceptance. The deposit collected is kept entirely by them.

They charge the Carrier and the Shipper for each accepted bid! They disguise the deposit as a Transaction Fee from the Shipper and a CREDIT to the Carrier's account. Bottom line is that they collect on/about 15% of every accepted bid amount.

Additionally, most of the Pick-up driving so called Carriers and FAKE companies, are simply private individuals breaking Federal laws. If something goes wrong, it's strictly a Civil matter at YOUR Expense!

Why do you think that the costs are so much cheaper on UShip than anywhere else? It's because the Federally mandated insurance overhead, hours of operation, DOT physical, logbooks and all other mandated requirements are being neglected by the illegally operating Carriers.

YES, pick-up trucks when used in a "For-Hire" capacity and crossing state lines are required to follow the same rules as semi's from vehicle markings to stopping at weigh stations etc....
